Tower work at KQ4MS!

On Sunday, 7-23-2000, another Big Gun was unleashed upon the Amateur Radio Community. KD4WIW, WB4IUY, and KQ4MS errected the remainder of the tower-mounted antenna system at the station of KQ4MS. The following pictures depict that which 'Big Guns' are made of, hehehhehe...

Here, displaying his biker shirt for the camera, KD4WIW is assisting KQ4MS with a bit of cable fabrication. KD4WIW is a Big Gun himself, having a 150' free standing tower in his own back yard!

Here, KQ4MS (the guy with the white hair, hehehe) solders a connector in place, ensuring its ability to handle at least 1500 watts of power. KD4WIW applies the special 'Hi-Power' solder to the connector.

Sitting perched upon the small tripod in this photo, is the new compact HF yagi for installation at KQ4MS.
